put up a link to my daughters kickstarter page about a film she is making.

It was about my Grandfather who fought at Passchendaele

some enthusiastic moderator removed it within 10 minutes

IANAM but I'd guess it was removed as the Kickstarter link will have been viewed as a fundraising page.

PH have a long standing rule on here that doesn't allow users to post links to outside or 3rd party fundraising pages, charity pledge pages, etc, unless it's first approved by the moderators or people running the site.

Rule of posting no.5 states

Do not choose a username which is the same as a company or trading name, nor create multiple profiles or attempt to use any other person's PH log-in to post content without permission or promote charity events, recruit for charitable donations, surveys or seek votes for competitions without permission nor promote events without permission.
