Time to show adverts?

I popped a car up for sale recently and the advert was viewable to all within a few minutes.

Yesterday I put another ad up for a motorcycle. It was 12 hours being "moderated" and then I got an e-mail saying it'd been approved, and now, a further few hours later, the ad is still not showing up.


Anyone able to help?

Seems to work the opposite to the adwords doesn't it?

They can't turn those off for days, but can't turn paid adds on.....

Your advert has been approved, which means you need to log in to your account and activate the advert. You should have a quick access link in the email we sent you.

We moderate adverts in the Motorbike section because it's free to list and we need to prevent the listings being spammed with hundreds of fraudulent adverts. Scammers load adverts into the free to list sections every day, and they don't go live because I moderate them. Moderation is done throughout the day during the week, and twice a day at the weekend. I know it seems like a pain to wait a few hours for your adverts to go live, but there's a reason behind it

Thank you Katie! I had missed that part of the e-mail you sent and didn't know that the ads were free as I get all my ads free ()


My mistake for not reading the advert. I was assuming it'd be the same as a car ad, but understand now.


Amazed there aren't many more bike ads on PH if they're free!!

They're slowly on the increase after we reintroduced the free option - so we may need to moderate them for a while yet!
