Illegal advertising

If a person/company are advertising an illegal service on PH and Haymarket leave the post up despite being informed are they then condoning the illegal ad?

We don't leave spam posts up well not for long, even us volunteer moderators have to eat the occasional meal.

Seriously, is there any way those kinds of spam messages can be stopped? Or anything more we can do to get them removed quicker?

I have reported a few myself, but it is quite difficult to control.

I have also noticed a recent trend on PH for spam users to sign up and post a few (semi) sensible posts, I presume to test the system and possibly gain trust, and then they begin posting spammy links, mostly digging up old posts where genuine users were seeking assistance.

Not really, when we think there is a raid on we put the site into trustee mode where only trusted members (read not Noobies) can post.

We have spoken about restricting the number of posts a noobie can post a day, but as you say it's not always them that can catch us out.
