main page size of banner ad, page jumps around..!?

driving me nuts..

load the main page (in fact, it seems to happen else where on the site too).. read the new stories, go to click on something and BAM! the banner ad loads, bigger than the space allocated on the page and all of the text i was reading (and the link i was clicking on) just jumped down the screen an inch!

very annoying

how hard is it to set the placeholder for the ad the right size (or only put ads in there that fit). having the page jump around like that makes the site look very amateurish.

Agree with that across the board - is it difficult to make placeholders the same size as the ads?

Agreed. Particularly annoying on mobile. The screen jumps up and down as various adverts load which would be fine but it takes a good few seconds for the movement to stop. It's not my internet as I have 100mb connection. Sort it out.

7980 unused selectors !!!

10's of seconds to load (all other sites fine)

Yep same here, I'm 99.9% sure nothing will happen but it is annoying

Page has loaded, go to click a link and page jumps meaning you click the wrong link, or if the link is near the top you click the Ad itself (which makes me think it might be by design)

on classifieds aswell, try to click the dropdown box for make, and as the ad jumps in i find myself going to motorbikes.


also theres a car for sale somewhere on this page..

Same here drives me mad , takes for the page to stop jumping about. It's the only website that does this that I've visited.

Hi all,

I agree that this is annoying. We will be looking at the way we serve adverts concerning the advert size and window size so we will consider this at the same time.
