Don't think so, keeps disappearing up its own dns.

Maybe they said something rude about the Norks and are being punished for it, either that or cash flow is a bit iffy and the on/off website is the payment reminder.

No.

It's by far the least reliable of any of the many sites I use regularly.

Yet another outage this evening.

It might be a bit shaky but it's worth it cloud9

What happened this evening for it to go into maintenance mode?

There are more issues with PH than all the other regular sites I use put together, despite PH having a less elaborate appearance that I assume uses less data than most.

I would expect these issues to have been resolved by now but if anything the problems are becoming more frequent, not really good enough for a mainstream site.

I don't mind the lo-tech appearance, it's better for me than some sites with full colour, avatars and gifs for each poster etc.yet these seem to load more quickly and drop out rarely despite my rural slow speed connection, whilst PH can be frustratingly slow and often interferes with other pages when running in the background.

The only place in the world that's less reliable than the Sony PSN, although I have to pay money to use that one!

PH, there are only so many other web sites I can visit while you are down so I'm sending you my Amazon bill since I wouldn't have been there otherwise. You'll also get my doctors bill for the RSI but perhaps we should discuss that in private.

The occassional outage is worth it for the hours of joy I get and it was worthwhile this evening as I needed to be productive to complete a proposal for work.

More problems this morning. To be fair given that it is written in an ancient programming language, so old that Jesus used to use it and was originally developed by a chap in his garage (or shed whatever) I am surprised that the thing works at all.

Plus its free, if you want 99.99% uptime and maximum speed then you would have to pay.

Ah yes point taken. I am a free loader and only use the gratis bits.

PH - he's right sort your life out - AT doesn't fall over all the time :-) (just joking, please don't shoot me).

Considering what I do for a living I would be shot / fired for this level of service.

Is there no failover at all?
