The General Gassing forum is now more than 50% adverts and stickies on the first page. I appreciate that these may be from sponsors, etc and they help pay for bills, but it's a bit unsightly. I'm never going to say hello to ALA insurance, test drive a new MX-5, read old articles about what someone would spend an imaginary £100k on, work in the motoring industry or read generic piffle about engine oil.

This could be made much easier if there was an option to display more topics per page, but if this option exists I haven't seen it.

I just came into Feedback to make that very same point and am delighted to see you've already raised it. Some of the crud has been in that list for months and, seriously, do Subaru really need two separate entries to promote test drives in their almost unsaleable cars?

As for the two insurance promotions, one wonders whether anyone at PH central has actually taken the trouble to find out whether their premiums are remotely competitive. My own experience suggests PH didn't bother and is happy to just sit back and collect a fee.

Hi guys,

Thanks for taking to time to give us the feedback, and as it happens we agree and are already working on a fix for this. As pointed out many of these stickies do help to "pay the bills" but we're investigating a way to lessen their impact, perhaps by spreading them across the first few pages.

At the moment it is on the to-do list but isn't an immediate priority because - whilst ugly - it isn't the end of the world. Having said that I hope it gets sorted out soon too!

Best wishes
JD
