(PENDING)Threads jumping due to top banner advert's loading
Discussion
Similar to the below thread:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
....but this time it is for the top Banner add, that appears directly above the forum listing (ie not the one at the very very top of the page which is directly below URL bar/to the right of Pistonheads logo).
These adverts always load a second or two slower then the forum index, which means it finishes loading right around the time you go to select the thread you want to read. This means you go to click the thread, the whole page drops down an inch due to the advert finally loading & you end up selecting the wrong thread.
This is pretty frustrating!

Use adblock, like most people do.
Vote with your feet, if they want us to continue being exposed to ads they have to make them non intrusive and so they dont do stuff like this. I dont mind watching or being exposed to ad's, I understand its part of how the website is funded, just dont make them a pain to be there.

I imagine the reason is simple, ad loads from a slower server then the rest of the page does or something equally basic.
As for adblock, I am slowly seeing it as the way forwards. I have been resisting the urge for the simple reason of websites I like need funding, but this quickly becomes a real annoyance!
