do we really need the subscript at the bottom of posts to display when and by how many times a post has been edited, what does it add to the forums?

It's always useful to know if a post has been changed in any way.

Most other forums also request a reason for the change which is a handy feature.

I don't see a problem with it myself.

It stops people changing things and denying their existence later!
