Hi all. If I am in a discussion on a thread how do I quote part of someone's post and not the whole post? I'm sure it must be fairly straightforward but I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Just quote the whole post, then delete the bits you don't want.

press quote and delete any unwanted text between the
at either end

Hit 'Quote' or 'Quote All' (depending upon how much content you want to keep in your post) and then edit out the bits you don't want.

Note - if the post you 'Quote All' already contains posts from more than one person, you'll need to ensure you end up with the same number of '
' entries as there are '[/ quote] entries. These need to remain at the start and end of each post you want to keep intact.

Best way to learn is to have a practice, perhaps by re-quoting this post and editing some bits out.

And if you press "preview" before "submit" you'll see what your edited post will look like before actually submitting it.

How do you quote lots of different bits from different posters into one post from an iPhone?

You have to remove the iPhone part from the problem. Doing that helps with picture orientation too.
