..get back to the previous page? It just seems to be on PH. If I'm looking at a page on a forum I sometimes have to click the back button multiple times to get back to the previous page. It's getting on my t i t s. What is the reason?

Maybe it's your browser plug in crashing temporarily.

Bit more info.

I'm using Firefox. If I right click over the back button in my browser it sometimes shows that the page has loaded multiple times - for example a page I was just viewing in the Porsche forum had loaded 4 times so I had to click back 4 times to get back to the previous page.

Hi Phooey - the dev team believe that this is advert related and have informed me that, unfortunately, theres not a lot we can do about it. Apologies for this!

Hi Jack, no need to apologise - I'm just glad to know it's not a problem with my computer / software etc. I thought it might be my computer needing a clean up or reinstalling of Firefox etc. I don't think it's a problem with my home computer on Safari smile

Cheers

I suffer from this as well, interestingly only on PH, not on any other forum that I use...

As a technical geeky type person I'd be interested to know what the PH techs say is causing this as it's just weird lol

As an aside, rather than clicking back 4 times, if you right click on the back button you can easily select the actual PH page you want to return to.

I swear it's getting worse... 5 times I had to click back a page earlier today - makes reading PH tedious. I've not noticed it on any other websites, so is it simply the adverts that keep reloading my page?

PH - If you're after constructive criticism and feedback, pleaseeeee look at cleaning this up and making PH a sleeker operating website.

Unless it's just me.. then ignore my moan and I'll get my coat. smile

Try using an adblocker as others have suggested

I uninstalled my adblocker because I had another issue PH was horrific, so slow and unresponsive

If there's nothing that can be done about it, could you explain why PH is the only forum that suffers from it?

Because the ad revenue is more important to them than user experience.
