(ANSWERED)New Poster and SP&L delay
Discussion
When Mods move a thread from a new member to SP&L do they automatically waive the posting rights delay?

The new poster rules would only apply to the poster if he was trying to post or start a thread himself, so if it gets moved to the Pie & Piston, it would be fine but the poster would not be able to comment further! I'm sure the mighty mods would spot this though and we wouldn't be stuck in a situation where the OP can't comment on his own thread.

It's happened many times before HTH.

Big Al does. Although he writes 'wave' instead.
I do, but I have been known to move and not check if a new member statred the thread!

But Big Al. to your credit you have been known to move it back on many occasions when the error is pointed out - that's fair but firm moderation in my book - we all can make mistakes but many times I have no idea why things are moved where they are moved to and no note in the OP to say moved by.
Just for clarity, we do have some mods who only have the move option available to them, none of us get it right everytime, so if you see something glaring then just press the report button and we'll take a look.
