Report everyone except the spammer

Since we're supposed to report spammers, how come spammers are able to post without a report button present?

Just noticed the same thing with Funk
When there's an advert next to a post you lose the report (and news) button

I wouldnt say too much... A well known PHer tried to do it a few years ago when they came in stfaced one night... they told people what they were trying to do (get the whole whats new page with just themselves as last updater or themselves starting all the topics) and people might have snuck in the odd post here and there so they didnt succeed and just to piss them off...

Believe they ended up in the sin-bin to think about their actions and to allow them to sober up.

As a voice of fairness, it is rather impressive that a new topic can be created, typed (or even copy/pasted) and posted within a minute, repeatedly. Only for their streak to be ruined by a regular thread... the cheek of it!

On a serious note, thanks for giving us a heads up re spammers, they were dealt with early this morning! We're aware of the issues surrounding the report button and hope to sort them soon!
