Open thread and now starts at the bottom?!?

Well this is annoying...

I open a thread I've never visited before and it takes me to the bottom and shows the last post since my last visit.

So I then have to scroll up to the top to actually read the thread. Annoying.

Why is this happening and how do I make it stop??

I've done that and now new posts are above old posts! WTF!?!?

I feel unwell.
