So after sharing an opposing view on the Manchester bombing thread vs. regular apologists who tried to justify the killing of children by explaining rationale/actions for a terrorist act and then trying to ask why we were not equally upset by what was going on in the Middle East , I get banned for 30 days from NPE.

"Ruffling feathers" was the explanation.

No doubt the co-ordinated actions of reporting by 4-5 posters (alpinestars, rscott, countdown et al.) has happened again to stop a discussion which is going against their propaganda - the actions of the desperate in my mind.

When will PH grow a pair and actually look at the discussion and then decide whether someone is overstepping the mark, at a time when emotions are running high? Why not take a balanced view rather than knee jerk to those who cry racist every 5 words?

You state I ruffle feathers and I need to change my posting style - I'm not changing anything so if you want to ban me do so properly and ban me full stop.

Currently you are behaving like subservient enforcers to those who are unable to debate without resorting to reporting when they feel they are losing to a discussion, shame on you PH.

Why don't you tell us what opinions we are supposed to have and be clear if we have an opposing opinions that it won't be acceptable and we shouldn't post here? Like a Stalin regime.

Ban me 100% or give me 100% access - anything other reflects a lack of conviction in what you have done - shame on you PH, shame on you.

laugh

Won't be long until lockdown.

Just try being slightly more subtle and less sweary. It's fine to disagree.

Same here.
Same posters.
Seem to goad endlessly and get away with it.

Snowflake!

Hysterical rant against made up stuff. If you really think they try to "justify the killing of children" you should perhaps take a step back and read their posts at least twice with a slightly more open mind instead of trying to play the internet hard man.

I wouldn't consider myself part of the "et al" as I only occasionally look in, however I would say that I generally find your posts (and those of the two supporting you) fairly unenlightening.

And without wanting to sound prejudiced, when I see the cringey phrase "grow a pair" I just move on to the next post..

Whenever I see 'snowflake' being used, I just know the rest of the post will be absolute drivel.

It's the most cringeworthy "insult" I've ever heard. There's even a thread about it.

Just to be clear. It's not them, it's you.

And none of those mentioned reported you. (FWIW it wasn't me that banned you.)

So take your medicine and tone down your posting style.

When you're a guest in someone else's house you abide by their rules, it doesn't matter whether you like them or not.

Not if they're applied unfairly.

If you've been on the receiving end of action that much it suggests the issue is with you.

I cant tell who's succumbed to what at the moment, that they're talking about
However I did see what happened in the London bridge thread
Generally the problem begins as soon as someone resorts to name calling or having a go at the poster rather than discussing the topic in hand
It is possible that whoever's on the receiving end is being got at
I dont know enough about this one but the style of the opening post doesnt look good

BigLion - your post is full of incorrect and disgusting claims about me. I haven't reported anyone in these discussions- the only time I've done that was when a different poster expressed their joy at a death of a poster's friend (quite some time ago).

Not sure who labelled you a racist either, but it certainly wasn't me.

I've also never justified the killings - if you're going to make an abhorrent statement like that, then back it up with a link to the posts. I pointed out that civilian deaths in Syria due to Western airstrikes can be used as propaganda material by IS, a claim I think most would agree with.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if it was someone with views similar to yours who reported you. Might well be that they felt that your posting style didn't allow for any rational discussion of difficult subjects.

I find it incredibly sad and equally pathetic that we cant have a thread on the London attack.

One man set out to get that thread closed and succeeded in doing so, I know the mods have a difficult time but all they really needed to do was ban that guy. It would have also meant that things wouldn't have spilled over into other threads.
