There are numerous comments on the thread where the swear filter has been avoided so that posters are able to use the pejorative term for Irish Travellers. Use of this term has in the past been considered a racist offence (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7446274.stm).

There are also more flagrant abusive posts - members of the Travelling community are described as 'parasites'. If any other ethnic group was subject to the same abuse on this forum, action would have been taken.

Agreed.
I was BANNED for attempting to stimulate discussion about the idiosyncrasies of another ethnic group (begins with the letter M) so can see the glaringly obvious double standards of the gentlemen that moderate this forum, when it comes to which group must be protected from close scrutiny.
Imagine how a law abiding hard working member of the travelling community must feel reading the thread on 'travellers'. Genuinely upset I would imagine.
Oh, there I go again, with the truth....I suppose this thread will disappear too...into the shredder with all the others.
I had a fairly rude and threatening email from an unnamed mod too, which I found surprisingly hypocritical as it was telling me off for being antagonistic. Unable to reply to that also.
