Hi all, please help! When I open a window with PH in, the ads in the top of the screen are linking to a (ip address)/realmedia/etc. etc. site and really slowing down my computer. I.e. a good 20 seconds, sometimes crashing!

But then, when I open further PH screens, it loads in the bottom left hand corner of my IE screen "applet bhjvmd inited"....and any time that happens, all my IE explorers crash.

I've double checked on other forums and such like and it doesn't seem to happen - only on PH. I've just ran an AdAware as well to check I havne't got something weird - came back clean.

I will only be around for another 10 mins (going to get on a plane) but will check back here this afternoon to see if there's anything I can do.

Thanks all for your help in advance
Tony

Ah, I've just worked out that applet thing (or rather WHY it does it...)...it's when I use the "My Stuff" button on the "What's New" menu! Not fixed it, just letting you know when it happens!

Hi Tony,

It may be something to do with the JRE you're using. Try visiting http://java.sun.com, and downloading the latest one.

This link should take you straight there.

I had this last week. Everytime I opened up PH I got the same message about an applet loading (down in the bottom left corner where it normally says 'Done') and then IE would shutdown. Didn't happen when I used Netscape, and then started working fine on IE a bit later.

Very odd.

Fantastic - thanks everyone. I was beginning to worry that it was my computer and that I'd picked up something dodgy!

Thanks for the responses
