Run less adverts!!

Unfortunately Haymarket don't care. This is something that has long been complained about for years on both the forum and the classified and has certainly worsened over the last 18 months with regards to the amounts of adverts being served. The only way of stopping it, is to install at least one adblocker. Of course this will only work up to the point that Haymarket start blocking access unless you disable the adblocker (like some other sites have now started doing) - which I'm sure will follow next year based on the number of users on here that confirm they use one.
I've had the misfortune this week of occasionally using my other laptop that doesn't have an adblocker and the adverts being served (even on a clean boot with no cookies) are ridiculous especially when Haymarket's preferred advert provider serve 3 banner adverts (2 top of the page, 1 bottom of the page), and at least 1 curtain advert down the right hand side.
If you're really unlucky and all the adverts are high size / load, flash image based ones (like the Expedia and a number of charity related ones), then if you have more than one page open you can guarantee that will lock up the page while they try to load. If the same crappy banner advert tries to load in at least 2, or sometimes all 3, of the banner ad locations that causes the increased page load times, and / or non response errors while the ads try to load.

Had a few spare minutes so thought I'd do a few screen grabs on a fresh load (no cookies / browsing history) and merge them into a couple of pics to show how pointless the advertising is on here with an ad blocker disabled. Apologies for the shrunken pics but I thought that was better than full size.
Firstly in forum page view - so that's the same Expedia advert served 3 times on the same page in the upper & lower banner positions:
Secondly in a forum thread - where the Expedia advert is now served 4 times courtesy of the curtain advert half way down the page on the right hand side.
It appears the classifieds is just as bad, but there you get the added bonus of a wallpaper background advert for a different product too
Oh, and it's not just the Expedia ad that loads that way. Other banner ads do as well, including the rather large number of different charities that seem to be being fed through by AdChoices including the US Mercy Corps, Red Cross & TrickleUp (to name just a few).
Doing a fantastic job along with Google AdChoices there HM Serving a high memory load flash based advert 4 times on the same page it's no wonder people get page crashes, warnings about script errors, non responding pages, excessive memory use, etc, etc

Well it is when the same high load, flash based advert loads numerous times on the same page and the page then becomes non responsive due to script errors caused by the advert(s). Bit hard to scroll past them then.
And Mac users, also available on Safari too.
