Is it worth asking the site managers if we can have a forum area dedicated to men’s attire? Lots of individual threads scattered around talking about all manner of men’s clothing perhaps makes it worthwhile under one heading?

There is no better forum for the finer points of sartorial elegance than a car forum! biggrin

Does this bobble hat go with this Subaru anorak?

I'm wearing gold shoes today.

What do you want to know about style?

Would I have to buy a suit and tie to contribute? (I don’t own either at present, and haven’t for 40 years) wink

You sound like the perfect reader of such a forum, and no, you can read the threads naked should you so wish hehe

I’m very surprised that the request was rejected on the grounds of ‘lack of use’. Some of the sub forums are gathering dust, maybe time to remove those and freshen the site?

I'd suggest widening its scope to 'Men's Attire and Grooming'; hair and skin care are topics that fit neatly with 'attire'.

We haven’t got dedicated sections to discuss tyres or insurance but you want one to discuss pants and socks?

If that's what you need advice about sweetie, don't be shy, go ahead and ask.

beard length is a contentious issue,i mean at what length is is dangerous to wear a zip up fleece if one is hirsute

Considering some of the sub forums on PistonHeads I don’t see why there shouldn’t be a ‘Fashion’ (for want of a better title) sub forum dedicated to men’s attire and grooming - if GQ can have a motoring section!

If the only reason for not having one is projected lack of use then why not open one up and let it run for a couple of months? If there’s no interest shut it down and move any threads in there to the lounge. It can’t be that difficult a task for the techs.

So go on PH, give us a Fashion section.

I'd suggest widening even more to "Men's Attire, Grooming and Furry Dice".
