Hugely annoying, but not surprising. I'd be intrigued to understand what proportion of users actually respond to these things, and what actual value is derived from them.

Just happened to me; I right clicked it with Adblock and managed to block it.

If PH made their advertising less intrusive I wouldn't need to use Adblock on the site, but the absolute cluster**** that is their advertising setup means it has to be used.

Without adblock on, I've only had that survey pop up when the "Discover What Car Karma" banner adverts are served on the same page.

Fair to assume it's a Haymarket / What Car? tie in survey, as a similar one also serves itself up if you visit the What Car? site too.

Edit - from memory of the last time this was raised someone from PH / HM said it's meant to go away after 1 or 2 times being served to your IP. Seems about right as it served twice when I first logged in earlier, but hasn't come back since (and that's also with the What Car ads being served too).

completely pointless exercise i gave totally incorrect answers just to be as annoying as the poll

PH would get a far more accurate poll if it just asked the question in the lounge and annoy less customers/product.

I use ublock origin, just seen it, have seen it once before but I closed the whole window and checked my blocked stuff, checked now and nothing has changed.


Is it better to fill these things with twaddle?

Stupid idea! And I hope that nobody takes the answers seriously! It comes up every time I switch on, surely a poll should only be completed once?
Anyway, I give a different answer every day, just for good measure!

ETA And, as usual, Haymarket couldn't care less!
