My topic- why?

I've just come in from a ride to find my topic removed 'no advertising on forums'.

I asked a question on why my road bike wasnt selling; did someone report it? Curious as the topic (from my inbox alerts) had a lot of replies, some of the early ones that I managed to read offering helpful advice.

Bit of a rant really, I've been on PH for a long time but some of the moderating is about bizarre. The Birmingham car crash thread has alot of veiled racism which I found offensive. Was that topic pulled?

No I wasn't and that wasn't the intention. It had enough hits already, with alot of watchers but for some reason want selling. Apart from giving it away I couldn't figure it as I think it's a good bike. The price was fair but no one squeeked, usually I get a 'i'll offer you' or 'can I come and see it' aplenty. But nothing. Not even the usual that. A high price doesn't phase these types.

Hence what prompted my post- what was wrong.

Couldn't the eBay ad link have simply been removed?

Does it really matter?

Take some better pictures
Give it the little bit of TLC that it requires so you can remove that negative line from the ad
Give people a chance to buy it (there are lots for sale and its not massively desirable, so you wont have people queuing up for it.)

Reduce the price if you want it to sell quicker.
