going by some of the comments from normal members of this forum perhaps it's just the norm...I've been a member of many forums over the years for a number of subjects, this must be the worse for childish remarks...perhaps I'm just getting older...smile

It's certainly the most sanctimonious, if SPL is anything to go by. Try posting a " got caught speeding " thread up at your peril. I wish the mods would just instantly ban the same old faces who post up the same old predictable drivel every time someone asks for advice about how to proceed when pulled over, or when they've received a NIP. The ones who don't post anything helpful, just stick the knife in.

I wish they'd instantly ban anyone who posts up about speeding in a stupid enough place to get caught, but you can't have everything eh?

People get caught speeding all the time, anywhere and everywhere, because it's the easiest way to generate revenue. When you grow up enough to understand that simple fact, maybe you'll understand why people like me object to the way the system works, and those who glorify it and defend it. You'll possibly get caught one day, because whether you care to admit it or not, you speed on occasion, so don't be a hypocrite.

One of few internet forums where one can speak the truth without far left political moderation and censorship, and without threats from big corporations trying to shut down free speech. Let's face it, there is some pretty heavy criticism of vehicle manufacturers on this forum and i've been on forums where the owners/mods have bowed to pressure and threats, because threatening website owners and silencing public opinion is cheaper than fixing your damn product. One in particular was a major safety issue, with a vehicle manufacturer who went around the internet wiping out any mention of the issue.

I've seen topics on here which on other forums would have seen every poster banned permanently, the thread about grooming gangs for a start.

I don't care if there are some idiots, or "childish remarks", or grammar Police, or trolling, or just f**king irritating gobsh*tes, it's better than the censored and sanitised alternative.

It's a pretty well administered forum and we are all more or less treated as grown ups.

I only ever had one thread pulled. It was something about what is a gay car. It stemmed from a conversation with a gay workmate who had just bought a new Discovery and was actually a dig at biggots and people who brand convertibles etc hairdressers girls cars.

A Mod clearly didn't understand the thread so it was erased. No big deal really.

I think an indication of how free this site is can be seen by the fact I got into big trouble on another forum for responding to some rude forum elder who decided to target me. I used every tool in the PH box of forum fighting. We here would call it a heated debate. They had a different view.

PH mods ain't perfect, but they'll do for me.

Well I'm certainly not standing for THAT. I'm childish, and wish to be treated accordingly.

Mental age seems to depend on mood/time of the month of some mods at times.

Great question I do wonder
I am on a few forums but this site is a very very nasty place !

I am on East side boxing and every morning I log on there somebody has thanked me for my comments Nice guys following a sport where people sadly die

On here dont matter what you say you are labeled a w$%£^*r !

This is a nasty place so I would say the mods are between 10 and 12 and have serious learning and concentration issues resulting in lack of sleep and junk food resulting in this place being a nasty place

A minor indiscretion, misplaced humour I guess. I had a warning which is fine but it did get me wondering about their ages. The stuff going on in some of the other forums seems to be completely ignored.

Sometimes on these type of forums you reap what you sow.
