Don't flounce without at least telling us what's upset you, we want to go and rake it over.
At a guess it will be this thread - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Not much to it as far as i can see - unless the thread's been moderated / posts removed.
Neither a lawyer or a 'busy' (ex).
I don't want to ignite a topic in the website feedback section, as the mods have enough work to do and give up enough of their time without having to moderate here, too.
SP&L can be quite a valuable forum. There's a range of people from police officers to barristers who regularly contribute, so if someone seeks advice they nearly always receive sound advice from those who are experts. Advice they'd often have to pay for. The problem is plenty of people who don't know what they are talking about like to put their oar in, and the person looking for advice may take something on board which isn't in their best interests to do. This is probably one of the main reasons the blaggers / walts receive short shrift in there. Particularly if said blagger writes things like 'filth' etc (if you dish it out you should be able to take it) in a forum containing police officers who give some of their time providing useful advice.
Anyway... I digress.
I suggested your friends and family were probably similar to you, as friends and family usually are. Hardly a great affront.
I assume your subsequent post (which was removed) was the reason you are blocked from SP&L.
I didn't care about the post - a stranger calling me names on the internet doesn't rank too highly on my list of confrontational experiences. I didn't report the post and I don't particularly wish to see you blocked from the forum, but it's not my website and I don't moderate it or make the rules.
