Bit of a weird one this, and I gather it’s not a common problem as there are no other posts about it.
Ive used an iPad and the native safari browser to view the various PistonHeads forums for a long time, with out any problem on this 9.7” iPad Pro and my previous iPad too.

Yesterday it appeared that the PistonHeads forums were not responding to touch, then I realised that only half a page was loading, then the second half would load after a period of around 10 seconds or so.

I’ve tried resetting the iPad (not a full factory restore yet!), closing and reopening safari, trying it through a 4g personal hotspot, and it’s just the same. My wife’s 12” iPad Pro shows the same issue but the second half loads in a much shorter time.

It appears it just the PistonHeads forums that this problem is apparent.

Is there anything else I can try or do I have to do a full factory restore to see if that will clear it?

There are plenty of people with similar problems but they've posted in the feedback forum.

Same here.

Just installed AdGuard (free) from App Store.

Turned on all four ad block filters.

Problem fixed.

Isn’t it kind of ironic that PH introduced ads to generate revenue, but they’ve done it in such a way that there’s now a concerted effort among the user base to actively block the ads

I hope Carguru are taking note....

This has caused me to install Pi-Hole on a Raspi that I had lying around. Well worth 60 minutes effort.

It's solved the problem 100%. Site loads immediately now.

I expect to be banned now!

The solution for Safari on the other thread worked for me - clear the cache.

I had the same problems until I downloaded Brave on the recommendation of another thread, as I only ever use iPad (have a laptop but never use it).

Brave is available free on the App Store.

I now use Safari for all surfing other than PH forum, and now have no problems with PH.

I’ve only downloaded it about a week and only used it for PH and it tells me it’s blocked over 7,000 ads and trackers and saved 5 minutes...

Finding the same on my Samsung S7 Edge using the chrome browser. Very slow to load pages and notice that it loads half and then takes ages to complete. Clicking a thread takes ages to work and sometimes need to click twice due to it taking so long,

Yep me too, no point trying to read PH on my S7/chrome.

My macbook pro on a 350mb connection also requires several repeated clicks, pressing the 'X' to stop the page just sitting there loading and doing nothing (chrome with all the ad blockers). This has become noticeable in the last few days/week or so.
