I realised I'd forgotten to set the 'email me when someone replies' flag to a new thread so I deleted the post thinking it would kill the thread (there were no other replies) and reposted it.

Now there are two identical thread subjects in the forum, one of them with a post and one empty. Would it be worth making it possible for poster to delete their own threads if there have been no replies or are the implications for permissions issues too complex?

Yes, that's something I need to fix. It's a side effect of some of the data restructuring that I've done of late.

I'll get that sorted.

Mine too please Ted: 'Spotted TVR Thread' - "Dark Griff near Malmesbury " I created the thread using a handheld, but put a 'grumpy' icon on it in error(ooops!)

Oi! This isn't a "hey Ted, run this site manually for me will you" thread.
