Have the powers that be killed off the .co.uk version of PH? My bookmarks have suddenly stopped working.

.com is still fine so not an issue, just wondering on the why...

I, for one, mentioned it on another thread a month ago. A cynic would say they don’t give a st.

Hi Jack

That's interesting. I'm on Win10, Ver 1803, running updated version of Chrome as Browser.

Manually adding in https gives:

This site can’t provide a secure connection
www.pistonheads.co.uk uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
Unsupported protocol
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

Same happens on Edge.

If you go to pistonheads.co.uk it redirects and works
If you go to www.pistonheads.co.uk (either http or https) it doesn't.

www.pistonheads.co.uk is an alias for www.pistonheads.com

www.pistonheads.com and pistonheads.com point to the same servers but pistonheads.co.uk isn't an alias and points to different servers.

Thanks for all the great feedback!

It has been fixed now, for some reason it was cached at some layer to us and we were unable to reproduce it. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

Regards

Please bear in mind that https is only supported on pistonheads.com. I believe it's due to the fact that pistonheads.co.uk was always just a permanent redirect to pistonheads.com. I've raised it with the team to see whether or not we will be adding support for that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Https

Http.

www.

I wonder why they would all get highlighted - perhaps because they indicate a web link and that would need to be clickable to save all that silly manual copy paste st into a new window biggrin

But that might be me looking at it with a simplistic internet luddite head on - probably why I'm still stuck in the dark age using Firefox wink

Edited to add - Sorry I haven't been on the naughty step before so perhaps I'll get my chance now

biglaugh it wouldn't be PH if I haven't had that as an answer would it? biglaughbiglaughbiglaugh

Ok, I asked for it.... On the other side of the silly question I was expecting you to enlighten me with all your knowledge and experience and show me things I could only ever dream of about those words being highlighted but maybe they are just words being highlighted hehe

Do you reckon that is just an attempt to save peoples time in using the formatting [ url ] option? If so the algorithm def needs some improvement

On another note... what's this smily doing? readit

Well that's probably the reason - me I still code most of my formatting manually as I know a fair bit of it without recourse to using This - Click me

It's telling you to read it.......

If this was NP&E it would probably be This - Click me

If there are no edits on this post then (without using the preview function) I either formatted it first time out of the box or I managed to correct it within the 60 sec ninja edit window before it gives the game away hehe
