Have you been fiddling? Everything on the forums appears to be 20% or so smaller than before today. IOS and Safari that is.

Are you using iOS 13 beta? Because if so that’s the problem not PH. When I installed iPadOS beta I had to change the font size as it was too small for me. It was at 100% and I changed it to 125% and now the font sizes are back to normal.

No, I’m on 12.3.1 on a 10.5 IPad Pro, it’s noticeably smaller.

IOS13 and Chrome, definitely got smaller since I last made a visit here a day or two ago.

I had this a few days ago (smaller fonts) and it went away by itself. Today it is back. No idea why. Still on iOS 12.xxx here.

I am occasionally getting a very large font size when on safari using ios12. I have to reload the page to get back to a normal font.
No such problems using windows machines or an android phone.

iOS 12.3.1 here, too.

Still got the bigger fonts today.

In fact, it looks like whole thing is zoomed rather than just fonts.

Thanks for reporting this to us. It's really good for us to be aware of any changes in iOS 13.

However, I've had a look on an iOS test device running iOS 13 beta and I can't see any issue with font size in Safari or Chrome. Is it on every page or just certain ones? Is it also happening in the news and classifieds sections of the site?



We haven't made changes to the font size so it's a bit of a mystery if things are changing from what you're used to.

If anyone could with a bit of techie skills has the issue and could use the Safari developer tools I'd be very curious to know the font size specified on the body element and whether that's being overridden. The forums has a specified base font size of 14px. Most websites use 16px as a base font size so one theory could be that the browser is overriding our base with 16px.

As said above the issue with the large fonts is actually the whole page zooming in and everything being scaled up. This is on ios12.

The mini fonts for me are only on my iPad Pro in landscape, on my iPhone the fonts look ok.

I’ve still got the smaller fonts here. I’ve just tried it on Chrome (usually only use Safari) and that’s the same, so it doesn’t seem to be a browser issue. Also, I’ve got nothing to do with iOS 13 on my iPad, so it’s not that either.

Happens on every forum page.

Doesn't happen on classifieds or, for example, 'services' from the top menu.

Something else that's started happening in conjunction with the font sizes/general 'zoomed in' look is that if I do the usual 'thumb and finger' stretch to zoom into any page on PH, it now won't zoom back to normal size when pinching thumb and finger back together.

So it's then left zoomed in at level that makes forum posts unreadable.

Not seeing this with any other forums or webpages, just PH.

And just to be clear again, this is on iOS 12.3 - I haven't updated recently- and the issue only started in the last couple of days.

Not sure whether this is the same issue, but on my iPad (12.3.1) (and only happens on the iPad) when I first load a page all is fine. I then zoom in and all is fine. But can't zoom back out again.

I've got this too, had to restart the browser

Just updated to 12.4 and still the same. Works fine on the desktop (Safari 12.1.2 on Mojave 10.14.6) and iPhone (12.4 on mobile site).

Ditto. Noticed it starting to happen this morning.

Edied: iPad Mini 2 on iOS 12.3.1. Very strange. After pinch zooming in, attempting to zoom out brings up the tiled view of all the Safari tabs. Only on PH.
