What’s the difference?

Also, when I create/reply to thread, is it then bookmarked or watched?

Using mobile theme and can’t see a search button to see if the above question been previously asked.

Click Bookmark and the thread will remain in bookmark file forever.

A thread you create or post in will be in your "my stuff" every time a new post appears.

If you don't want to post in a thread ,click "watch" and the above will still happen.

In which case it does not work.
I just bookmarked a thread (that not replied to or watched), gone to My Stuff (and My Bookmarks) and not there!!

And it’s still not clear what the difference is. Anything I watch always shows (given date range). Is bookmarks meant to show regardless of date range or something?

Bookmark is as it implies, it's added to your list of bookmarks: click.
Watch adds to 'My Stuff'.

Starting/replying to a topic is equivalent to Watch.

OK, thanks, but how to you navigate to bookmarks? I go to my stuff and then my bookmarks and nothing!

Also, how to you un-watch on the mobile site?

You have to switch to desktop view and click the right-most column.
