Adverts over text

Internet explorer on Windows 7 (yeah, yeah, I know...).

I'm getting adverts over the top of posts. Changing the width of the window just means the text wraps at a different point and is still hidden under the advert. Strangely quotes appear over the top of the advert though.

Anyone else getting this or do I just have to wait until work upgrade my machine?

Yep I am experiencing it on my new work laptop. Looks like the text is the full width but the advert covers the right hand side of the post hiding the text under it..

Happening on my windows 10 work laptop too. I may have to do some actual work at this rate!!!

Strange, I was getting text over adverts this morning.

Run NoScript & UBlock Origin & you won't have these issues (on a PC of course).

It's been happening on my iPad for about a week. I'm very grateful to the people quoting the posts that I can't read.

Sadly not an option on my work laptop.

I notice all of us posting here have the problem on work machines, which suggests maybe the majority of people are running ad blockers on thier personal machines these days.

My work machine is not showing the advert at the top of threads or in them, just a white box with the posters text underneath.

On non-work devices the Brave browser will get rid of any problems like this one

Looks like you're getting the frame but not the advert, some kind of pihole style blocker at your work maybe that just returns a blank image for the requested advert?
