What happened with this? There was a bit of a discussion a couple of years ago I remember.

It is a useful way of conveying ones agreement with a post without the clunky method of quoting the post just to say - "Me too!!"

I can't say I'm a fan of likes either. Nothing worse than someone who thinks loads of likes validates their post.

It's doesn't quite work like that. You don't even need to be accurate to end up with loads of likes. Just say something a bit edgy or confrontational and like, like, like.

On forums it highlights grudges and cliques. We've got enough grudge matches on PH without making it an official point scoring contest.

Every time it does, it's resoundingly booted into touch.
