One Post Removed But Another One Not...Why Please?

Can you please explain the reasoning for the removal of my post because it said:

"with every post you cover yourself in stupid"

(Climate change The Science Thread)

And yet you allow a post that says:

"One of the reasons people like him is he lives in the heads of people like you, it is hilarious you should charge him rent for the huge empty cavernous part of your skull that he gets to reside in due to your pea sized obsessed brain."

Can you please let me have details of what makes one post acceptable and yet another similar post worthy of removal and a threatening email sent to me?

As has been said many times mods don't see every post, yours was probably reported.

You would be better off in future sticking to whatever the subject was, rather than going down the name calling route.

Obviously busy today as they've lopped the whole 'Housing development to include space for travellers' thread which actually had some reasonable discussion in it.

Might have missed how it ended, but why loot the whole thread? Delete odd posts maybe, locked it, whatever. But why remove the lot? Not how I run my forum.

I moved off this thread earlier to the US riots one and immediately ran into 2 posters calling each other idiots/stupid...I’m after what makes one post acceptable and another not.

It’s alright though, the appearance of one poster on here who also posts on there kinda confirms it was reported.
