Why can’t we have a thread to talk about suicide?

Just tried to start another thread to discuss this delicate issue that needs more exposure and it gets shut down. It’s a popular topic clearly judging by the last topic and I’m sure there are people who want to talk about it.

Basically how can we have a relevant topic without it getting shut down?

Scrump replied on the thread in health - it's not deleted, just hidden due to concerns around a member. Seems very reasonable to me.

In that particular thread quite rightly.

But that shouldn’t be the marker to dismiss any thread on the subject imho.

It's not really a subject that we feel is suited to this type of website, it's far too specialised and whilst the site does cater for almost all topics, and there are sites out there which have the ability to handle this subject in a more professional environment than we ever will.

So sorry to disappoint but on this occasion, but the topic is not something we wish discussed on our forums.
