We have loads of subfora for obscure brands, one for every model of TVR so isn't about time we had one for Alpine, rather than be lobbed in the "French bred" which newcomers might not naturally surf?

Create an Alpine thread which goes for near 500 pages and they'll think about it.... hehe

This was the post I put on the General Gassing forum - and it got MOVED to obscurity here!

I think you will find if you look back that there have been at least a total of 500 pages of postings - but because they aren't under one heading..... Hence the need for a dedicated forum.

It does sound as though pistonheads don’t want to encourage Alpine owners to visit...

It does seem a bit ridiculous really, I mean there is even a Zenos sub forum a brand that is gone nevermind one that is still producing cars and has a presence in LMP1 and F1....

I do think there's a place for an Alpine sub-Forum. The OC forums are a little obscure and not easy to access and given the increasing brand exercise Alpine are doing in GT and F1 racing there will be more interest. Can cover older and new cars of course not just the A110

Yes please here too!
Could put it under Super Cars... seems to be a perfectly fine place for people to chat about diesel Ghibli's and Levanti SUV's lol

Historic brand like Alpine should have its own section.

Thanks for raising this although at this time, I don't think we have enough Alpine threads to warrant a new forum. There are a handful in French Bred, which itself isn't the busiest forum so it's not like they're getting lost in there.

I expect we'll have another look in a few months where it makes sense to add new forums or rename/tidy up others so if there's anyone else that wants an Alpine forum, feel free to add your name here and prove me wrong!

It's a catch 22 situation - not many looking for Alpine stuff will look in French bred - that's why there isn't much there. There ARE long threads when PH reviews the car or there are comparison tests which include the Alpine.

Despite that there are any number of other cars/models which have a unique subforum which have fewer posts than Alpine. There does appear to an inconsistent approach here.

it would be nice if pistonheads became an international english language community for Alpine - which won't happen without its own forum
