Moved?

I’m noticing that a lot of posts are getting “moved” just recently. Anyone know why and where they go?

If you click on them it will take you to the post in it's new home.

Mostly it's because someone posted a topic in 'general gassing' a subject that actually has it's own dedicated forum. There are hundreds of forums so people tend to look for topics in the relevant places rather than all in general gassing

Are members reporting threads for being in the wrong sub-forum?

Mods have mentioned that they only look at posts if reported, yet the speed (as in this case ) with which thread moves happen is often astonishing.

Well, in my defense, I don't read any reports

If there are super diligent mods, then fair enough.

What worries me slightly, in a despair for mankind sort of way, is there might be a bunch of members gleefully reporting posts if, in their opinion, they're in the 'wrong' forum. Often they've been put there for a good reason.

If a member reports a thread as being in the wrong forum then it will not automatically be moved. As with all reports the mods will then take a look and decide on the appropriate action.

Is there a new mod prowling around, whose judgement might be a little clouded or biased?

I've had three hits recently for spurious reasons, after saying nothing different from what I've been saying for 18 years.
