Notification of thread reply by OP only

A nice feature would to be able to filter thread replies from the OP only rather than all of them.

A thread has usually gone through everything in a few pages followed by many more of repetive discussions going over topics from the first few pages when you just want to read any updates from the OP.

I was when I seen the thread title!

Something must be possible to ignore all the noise. I also think a like/dislike button for each reply may be useful. So you can stop to read any highly rated replies.

Absolutely, the thread has descended to the point Big Al has intervened to politely smack a couple of heads together. So rather than trawl through all that it would be great to just get a message when the OP gives an update.
