Shutting down quoting/cut and paste questions

I'm sorry for another thread , but obviously I have an interest having been affected by this. Wouldn't it be better to have one thread left running about the progress into quoting/cut and paste so we can ask about updates, or is it PH intention to just hope this all goes away.

At the moment it's still a grey area. Contributors are still quoting in PH articles (See https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... yet we're walking on eggshells as a few of the Mods have said this is ban worthy.

There is really no point in continuing banging on about this topic, as Ben said yesterday he will inform you as to what the situation is as soon as it's been legally sorted.

As for current practice, it's as per the current rule, you will only receive a ban for CONTINUED breach of the rule.

If a C&P post is spotted by the mods (or reported) it will usually just result in that post being removed no need for bans.
Just for clarity again, the bans are usually just from a thread, multiple breaches of the rule across numerous threads in a forum MAY result in a forum ban.
