It'll have been deleted, probably for name and shame reasons. Entirely possible op decided to blitz it too.

Was a PH article. I'd guess the car's owner complained about what looked like an amazing car being painted in a bad light.

Well they are all tossers. Anyone asking for it to be pulled, and those who pulled it.

The article was actually really very positive towards the marque and car in general, and if there was a recent inappropriate comment, that should have been removed not the whole article.

Was a good article but I think when the owner posted about it it may have drifted into a ‘for sale’ type post for the owner which is against the rulz init and I guess you can’t have one rule for the serfs and another for our lords and masters.

Cargurus pays for the hosting. It's their ball, they can do what they want with it ultimately.

Mmm, but you could trim the offending posts and leave the rest of the thread. Particularly when its a PH thread!

But not only did they remove the thread, as far as I can tell, they also removed the article off the website. All very strange.

Agree, shame we always end up on the rough end of someone tongue, when we know as little as the members.

Obviously I don't know the full the reason for it being pulled. But the number of threads here that have run for months and are then pulled for a few posts seems out of whack with most forums I use as well as the forum I run.

PH is basically the only place a whole thread is removed with any frequency at all.

Much easier to dump the thread completely than clean out the offending posts and sanction the offending posters, eh?

Happens far too often on here IMHO.

If the moderation team is so overstretched then surely the answer is to recruit more moderators.

Always.

But sanctioning the offending posters always takes longer than anything else anyway, so assuming that is done appropriately (and its a false economy not to) then tiding up the thread afterwards should just be a case of clicking a tickbox on in post and hitting 'hide post' or however the PH software does the same game.
