I've been on PH for something like over 10 years and from last night to today it looks like the forum settings have reversed colours.

I have looked but can't immediately see if there are themes are the like in my PH profile for the site.

I have rebooted, checked chrome & windows for updates etc.

It's probably best if I show a picture, but in effect to see anything I have to mouse drag to highlight it.

It may be something wider than PH, curious to know if anyone else is experiencing the same either here or elsewhere online.

I think it must be a Chrome problem, pages look ok in FF & Opera (on PC)

Thank you for reporting this. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yes, it's very broken. Win10 & Chrome.

Edit: also broken the same way on Edge.

Yup, same issue on Chrome Browser (latest version) W11.

Seems that the text colour is flipped. When replying it looks like this:

I have reported it to Google

Chrome > 3 dots > Help > Report an issue

Might be an idea if anyone else who's experiencing this do the same.

Glad it's not just me, noticed it on the companies house website too whilst doing some snooping.

It looks like Chrome trying to force dark theme and failing. Would be interesting to know if everyone else that's having issues runs in dark mode too?

Win 10 / Chrome 98 (not sure which version I was on this morning as it just updated, both were bad though)

Funnily enough Brave which is not supported by PH is fine and Google chrome is ok on my laptop.

EDIT: See my post below for the cause of the issue...

Not a Chrome Dark Mode issue - mine's set to disable Dark Mode for sites and PH still looks the same.

Deffo something that's changed PH's end, not locally.
I tried that setting and made no difference for me.

Try this link

Does it look crap for you too? (Basically a white page, ctrl+a to highlight everything and reveal white text)

Normal to me.

Not so sure about their last set of accounts though smile

Even weirder - yes, the Companies House site looks like garbage too. Not just PH then.
Google Ads navigation menu is now all white for me, at least that means Google will have some internal heat to sort Chrome if it's a bug of their own making...

Solved it. It's the Adobe Acrobat extension that's breaking everything: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adobe-ac...

There are comments on the Chrome Store page where others have also worked it out already.

It was the fact PH looked fine in Incognito that tipped me off it must be an extension. If you disable or remove the Adobe extension all works fine, I've turned Windows Dark Mode on for Apps again and it's all working OK.

Ah nice one. I was starting to wonder if Win 11 in dark mode was the cause, given I had a windows update earlier.

I can disable the acrobat extension for now, hopefully they'll be under pressure to fix it though.

I have filed an abuse report on their extension detailing the equipment and websites detailed above as evidence.

Why on earth would you think that a Microsoft product could be the cause? rofl

Nice one, I noticed earlier the colour was being set by an 'injected stylesheet' which I assumed was Chrome dark mode as I'd completely forgotten I had Acrobat enabled too. I don't think it's the first time that extension has caused grief either.
