Slow to get classified ad approved

Hi all, looking for some feedback...

I have a small trailer to sell, and am attempting to list in Classifieds under 'Big Stuff'.

I submitted the ad earlier this week and received an email to say the ad has to be approved. It's taken a couple of day for this to happen, meanwhile I realised I'd forgotten some information. The system didn't allow the editing of the ad at the time.

Today I receive an email to say the ad is approved, and if I follow a link I can click to 'send live.'

Prior to doing so I edit the ad the include the info (trailer dimensions) - but this seem to have reset the process and now I have to wait for approval again. Seems it's going to take a working week to submit an ad.

I am grateful to be able to advertise for free, although if the payment of say, a fiver mean it would list immediately I would go for that. There are other free sites of course, not least Gumtree which I have also used, and Facebook Marketplace etc. It's been far easier to list on these other sites and the ad went live straight away, I believe.

As I say, I'm grateful that PH allows me to advertise for free, but does it normally take days to list an ad, does the ad have to always be approved after any amendment, is there a method of avoiding the delay if I pay to advertise, and is my experience of advertising on PH the norm?

Hey, we have auto-moderation applied to that category to deal with recent scam activity, so any edits will push it back through the moderation process.

I have disabled this for your ad so you can now edit and it will not go back through moderation anymore - sorry about that.

Many thanks. I went to do that, but wasn't able to edit and it seems the ad is still not live.

Is possible to just list the Ad live please, and I can maybe address the other info if asked? Thanks.

Sorry, missed the reply. Ad now live and you should be able to do what you need to.
