1000 posts to post in NPE?

I was just going to reply to the Rail Strike thread with a witty and informative post (honest!) but it wont let me, says i have to have 1000 posts and have been a member so long....

I know I don't post much, but come on, i've posted in there before during the god knows how long i've been here (don't know unless I post this and look left...). And I lurk (sorry I mean read) loads...

Yeah it's total BS to be honest. It should also have a time duration or something, if you've been a member 2+ years say.

It's a lazy form of moderation ultimately, probably brought on by the great reset covid nutters.

235 months and 845 posts. 19.5 years and 43 posts per year on average, which i guess isn't really that much by some people on here's standards - Looking at you EricMC!, but still!

Sounds a bit arbitrary tbh. I mean if it was 500 posts I would not even have noticed. But with nearly 20 years reading and posting occasionally, looks like I am banned

Maybe I should have commented more on the CSV thread in Food and Drink, got my post count up.....

Oh well. 19.5 years is quite enough to read one site anyway, time to go elsewhere if I'm not wanted.
