I appreciate the need for advertising revenue to fund this excellent site, but this Vauxhall VXR ad is popping up in a most persistent and aggravating fashion - to the extent that if I was ever thinking of buying a VXR, I certainly am not now!!!

Cheers, JW

Get a free pop-up blocker from the internet. Costs nothing. Works.

Use a different web browser!

I'd like to suggest Avant Browser (find the download site on Google). It's brilliant. It works as a kind of "overlay" for IE, but you'd never know.

It has a built in search box (so no need to go to search engine sites to search, it has a tab bar, so you can open new web pages within one main overall window (so you don't get hundreds of tabs along your task bar), and best of all, it's got a build in Ad and Pop-Up blocker which works really well! As a result, I've never seen a popup on PH!

I agree about the VXR ad and I know I can employ pop-up blockers, etc. but it seems a shame to need such tools in a place that feels like home. Don't kill the goose!

Please check that you have cookies (inc 3rd party) enabled. If the system can record a cookie on your PC showing that you've seen it then it won't bother showing it to you again for the rest of the day.

Thanks for the helpful response guys. Am on company computer at present so not allowed to install or change anything. Will take your suggestions for use at home though.
