Why no full-screen option for embedded Youtube videos?

Odd. Works fine on a iPhone and iPad. Suspect it’s not PH that’s preventing it.
May be to do with the fact it's a completely different platform (iOS rather than Windows). Are you using Chrome on iPhone & iPad or Safari? It's definitely a site-specific issue, ie. PH rather than a browser setting.
We've investigated and it seems to be controlled by YouTube – they are choosing when or not to show the option for full screen view. Our assumption is they want to increase click through to YouTube itself for ad revenue but there doesn't seem to be anything we can change on our side to change this.
As far as I can see it is something on the side of the site embedding the video. I'm not a browser expert but a bit of Googling suggests it appears to be something to do with setting "allowfullscreen on the iframe tag" when the video is embedded?

Thanks for looking at this, but we do allow full screen our side, so it has to be YouTube that's limiting this and not us.Edited by Funk on Monday 8th August 12:25

If you click on the YouTube logo on the video you will get the video on YouTube and can go full screen.
Well I can.
Yes, that's true. However most sites with YouTube embedded allow you to go full screen without leaving the site you're on and then returning straight to where you were. I've been trying to think of any other site I've been on where it doesn't work and can't. Can only deduce YouTube hates PH for some reason...!Well I can.

t driving thread. Embedded videos used to play in full screen but stopped a while back and now I turn to landscape and have to position the video to maximise the view. So something has changed.
