asdf.exe - possible trojan?
Discussion
I don't want to be alarmist, but twice tonight while browsing the Pie and Piston forum I've had Zonealarm pop up to warn me that an application called asdf.exe, in the root of my C drive is trying to access the web - obviously I denied access and deleted the file - the creation date of which was at exactly the time I opened the Chav Wedding thread page 2.
After having deleted the file, done a quick search on Google and run my virus scanner, AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy, I returned to the P&P, but instantly Zonealarm was warning me that asdf had returned, and was again attempting to access the web.
A quick search on Google uncovered this: http://p103.ezboard.com/fezboardfrm87.showMessageRange?topicID=7340.topic&start=1&stop=20|http://p103.ezboard.com/fezboardfrm87.showMessageRange?topicID=7340.topic&start=1&stop=20
- apparently their webforum had a problem with the same exe infecting users.
I'm not sure if this is an issue with the forum, but it
may be worth checking out just to be safe :)
Cheers,
Jamie
