I'm a bit confused by your 2nd post boxedin but we did look into your issue yesterday and then I forgot to update you.

We can see the message you sent is not the message you were emailed, so you can be assured the seller received the message you typed out. We're not sure how that happened and we're looking into it.

I have an ad running, sent a long messsage, and it came through.

Lead message:
" A long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long message
"

Would someone mind running a test to see whether the 'Contact Seller' form truncates messages please.

'Hello, I'm interested in this item. Is it still available?'

From the copy I see sent to my email it does not show the full message.

Does the recipient (Dealer), see the whole message? On the email it stood at about 250 characters.

Thank you.

Hey EmailAddress - I think we're all happy now, if unsure though, would you be able to say broadly what got sent/received in your case above? I.e. was a long message truncated with an ellipses? Or did you only receive the "Hello I'm interested in this car. Is it still available?" part?

In any case, to confirm what happens with contact seller emails:
- the seller will receive the entire message via email (no truncation happening)
- the buyer receives a confirmation email when they contact a seller, which does have the message body truncated (with ...), as this is just intended to be a record for the buyer that their inquiry was been sent - we can appreciate how that may cause confusion though!
