OP, you do know that this website is owned by a company that sells space for selling cars? It doesn't exist as a forum with car sales as a sideline, it's the exact opposite.

It used to be that way though, I guess it was only a matter of time once it was sold for the new owners to try and commercialise it more.

And having said what I did earlier, FFS we don't need a pop up every time I log in to point me at the auctions which I have zero interest in because I'm not looking to buy anything.

Agreed - it's very very annoying.

The fact that a car exists and can probably be bought is completely meaningless unless you have some idea of how much it can be bought for. The couple of listings I looked at by clicking the link don't help. No idea of likely cost, no finish date, no mention of reserve.

I can’t get rid of the little yellow bar at the bottom of the screen (iPad) no matter what I do. There’s a little ‘x’ but it doesn’t do anything. Mods?

Same for me using Chrome and to make matters worse it covers the 4 icons on the bottom of the screen meaning I can't click on "My Stuff" and "What's New".

That doesn’t work on an iPad using safari (at least in my experience)

My bookmark (on iPhone) takes me directly to pie & piston, but I still get the pop up every time. Very annoying!

Strange, with mine (direct bookmark to Forum Index on an iPad) the auction banner showed up the first time, and hasn't appeared again.

I’ve killed it in one browser so far and just working on its mobile equivalent.
