Advertised my Mk6 Golf R yesterday on the site. Good response including a number of keen buyers on e mail willing to pay the full asking price. No questions asked. Except all of them insist I stick my payment details into a Mickey Mouse website that is way better than HPi. All the keen buyers insist I pay for this check now as they are “on their way with the cash”

Reported to fraud at Pistonheads. Beware. bandit

Might be best to also report the details on the main thread on scams here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I have just had 8 different people asking similarly phrases emails. And ultimately ending up asking to get a report from theprimecheck.co.uk. This is a scam and should be taken as fraud.

Same here, 8 emails, all poorly written, all eventually asking for theprimecheck report. Anyone know how we can report these email addresses?

i just sent them a scam screenshot in return and blocked them.

Same here. I have started to have fun with them now.

One has posted a cheque, naturally for way over the asking price and then I need to give him it back via the shipping company.

Cheque has been posted to me, F. West, 25 Cromwell Street...

Yep-same here. Got loads of ‘enquiries’ within seconds of my advert going live.
I changed my name every time I replied to one ‘lady buyer’ -in all I used 5 different names-which ‘she’ didn’t even mention as being odd!
I have now agreed to meet a buyer -who i have asked to bring cash in used £50 notes to my ‘address’. Gave them a location 6 hours drive from where I am and told them we need to meet after 10pm. 😂😂😂
It was fun for a few minutes but now I’m just bored with all the nonsense.
Looking forward to genuine enquiries soon!!

Same experience as those above.

Most enquiries asking me to use

The Prime Check and pistoncheck.co.uk/

DO NOT USE - TOTAL SCAM.

I suggested they do their own check which is remove off the purchase price when funds cleared.

Needless to say, they've gone quiet.
