Anti EV/pro EV nonsense taking over threads...

A request, or maybe a plea, to the PH moderators. I know you're all probably busy enough, but please, please, can we have a crackdown on the same idiots derailing every thread that has even the vaguest connection to EVs with the same brainless comments?

The one about Audi's naming strategy today is a prime example. The first comment is some halfwit saying "EVs get in the bin". And the ensuing comments then degenerate into yet another pointless, irrelevant "EVs good/EVs bad" argument.

It infests so many threads with the same boring, inane, repetitive, unnecessary crap.

Perhaps we could offer a little badge or slogan that sits beneath one's username saying "I like EVs", or "I don't like EVs", or "I don't mind EVs under certain circumstances", or "actually I don't really give a flying one"...?

Unfortunately this is not isolated to EVs. There are some people who dislike certain brands or car types and just join the discussion to throw stones.
We are all entitled to our opinion but where this crosses the line into trolling the mods do take action.
If you see specific post(s) which you think cross the line then please report them so the mods can take a look.

Yes it’s not just EV talk, it’s any thread about finance too, and everyone with a car on finance is a moron, why don’t they buy a £3000 15 year old car and conform to what I think is right over and over
