I’m going to have a wild guess and say that the legal team weren’t asked about this as it slipped through the net whist other legal stuff was being gone through.

I guess the expression “kicked down the road” might apply here to what is probably quite a complex question, further complicated by ChatGPT, etc happily hoovering up content to feed their models.

I said at the time that it's better to kick this down the road as It's a no win situation for PH. If members want a definitive (as in in writing) answer then legally and to cover their arses they would have to totally ruin these forums.
