Is there a post size limit?

Or is there a limit to the preview window?

Several times I've been constructing thoughtful and erudite posts, only to find them truncated when I've tried to preview them.

Consequently I've had to edit them back to my usual rubbish, and the PH community has missed out on some of my finest musings. ;)

However, I have noticed several other posts [b] way [/b] longer than those which seemed to get truncated.

This got me thinking that maybe the limit is on the preview window rather than the post itself?

Would be good to know anyway.

Currently there's a limit as to how much the preview window will actually preview but there's not limit on what you can post.

I'm working on a better preview system.

Type it into a text document to check, then paste it into a reply

I'm generally checking for things like the smileys, quotes, formatting and links, etc. so I really need the PH preview for that.

Good to know its only the preview though. I can definitely live with that.
