Uploading pics.
Discussion
Chaps and chapettes, this has probably been done before but I can't seem to find it so please don't have a go but I was just wondering why we can't upload pics from our PCs?
I have gone to do this a number of times only to realise I can't do it (or can't seem to).
Again, just curious.

Yep, the amount of photos that would be put on here would cost a ton of cash to host.
Just as easy to host somewhere else, which brings me to this very helpful utility that someone has set up
http://ph.uncle-dave.co.uk/upload/
Instruction guide there aswell if needed.

An upload facility would be neat as it's a bit quicker and easier.
More importantly, all the uploaded pictures can/could be categorized and searcheable creating a nice archive. Also you could have your own member gallery which everyone can view..
Basically there are lots of neat functions possible if you (well, Ted
) have the time.
A simple example is the m5board's gallery: www.m5board.com/photopost/
which has 'recent additions' as a neat function.
Storage should be pretty cheap (250GB hard disk = about £90) in theory, I guess it's the bandwith that needs worrying about?
