Strange outcome when using apostrophe.

Here`s a weird one. When using this site and typing a post, if I use an apostrophe, a bar opens up at the bottom of the browser and the apostrophe goes into a textfield on that instead of in the post where I want it. It only happens on this site.

BTW, I`m using firefox.

I've had that periodically in Firefox. Close it down and reopen it and it ceases.

I get that when i'm using hotmail too , bloody annoying, don't get it on PH though.

The apostrophe is Firefox's "find" hot key. Shouldn't happen in a text box, though. (And doesn't for me)

If nothing has focus and you hit apostrophe you get the find bar.

Shouldnt happen if any control like a text box has current cursor focus, like the man says.

happens every time I write anything in hotmail. i just never use apostrophes now!

I find that sometimes FF gets a bit stuck into "find mode" even when it shouldn't.

A work-around is to hit the "Windows" key a couple of times. Saves shutting down FF and re-starting.
